I have noticed an air type of inductor ONLY in the B phase of some substations. What is the purpose, why only in the B phase. A picture is avaliable.
Everything is very open with a really clear description of the issues. It was really informative. Your site is very helpful. Many thanks for sharing! fb login facebook
the inductor you're referring is probably Line Trap (also called Wave Trap) to block high-frequency (in the order of kHz) carrier signal going further from the point where Inductor is installed. The signal goes to Capacitor Coupling Device (connected phase-to-ground) where it is separated from the power line and sent to equipment. It contains protection signaling as well as data.
Friends,Here I am committed to make the materials as simple as possible. I promise to minimize the use of school maths so that both Technocrats and students will benefit from the articles. Here the main aim is to develop clear concept.
